UPDATE (WKOW) — The fire that broke out in a home in Dekorra destroyed the home and killed two pets.
Poynette/Dekorra Fire Department and EMS says firefighters were called to a home on Dunning Road at County Highway B around 12:45 p.m. Thursday.
When crews arrived, they found a home that was fully engulfed in flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross was contacted to help the people living at the home.

TOWN OF DEKORRA (WKOW) — The Poynette/Dekorra Fire Department and EMS responded to reports of a structure fire Thursday afternoon.
According to a Facebook post from the PDFD, fire departments from Portage, Rio and Pardeeville also responded to the scene on Dunning Road at County Highway B.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Alliant Energy also responded following the 911 call at approximately 12:45 p.m. Thursday.
PDFD said more details will come when units are clear of the scene.
