This week’s best beauty Instagrams were a study in sleek. Adwoa Aboah added the finishing touch to an alabaster eye look created by makeup artist Jenny Coombs, the futuristic aesthetic framed by polished cornrows. Also at the plait party was Alicia Keys, who offered an inspiring speech punctuated by luminous skin, an eye-catching environment, and a regal braided ponytail. Elsewhere, Yara Shahidi transformed a would-be basic procedure into a stylish moment that was anything but with the help of half-up curls and ample attitude.

 A selection of stylized manicures was aptly captured along with striking selfies: Maude Apatow’s blunt brunette paired well with verdant digits, Hari Nef’s all-white nails matched her outfit and set off her burnished and banged chop (hello, The Fifth Element), and Marc Jacobs’s silver polish was as refractive as his high-shine hair. The shellacked mane also found a fan in Billie Eilish, who combed her raven lengths into a low-slung style, pinning her bohemian bangs on each side—the better to frame a smoked eye.
