Now the new trailer for the spin-off And Just Like That… has set fans atwitter speculating that art will imitate life and Cynthia’s character will start dating women.

One shot shows Miranda having what appears to be a one-on-one dinner in a dimly lit restaurant with a character played by the nonbinary bisexual Sara Ramirez.
One fan posted a still of the moment to Twitter and gushed: ‘they have definitely made Miranda gay. Grey, gay and fabulous! Here for it!’
Another detail that drew attention on Twitter was the placement of a shot showing Miranda sharing a tender moment with a character played by Karen Pittman.

The shot came right after brief glimpses of two couples – Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Harry (Evan Handler), and Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Big (Chris Noth).
‘This totally makes it seem like Miranda is going to be queer right?’ tweeted a fan. ‘Like shot of Harry&Charlotte, Carrie&Big and then Miranda and that hot lady?’
During the show Miranda, a high-powered lawyer, has a whirlwind on-off romance with bartender Steve Brady (David Eigenberg).
They have a baby, marry and then remain together through the Sex And The City movies – although their relationship is rocked by his infidelity.
