Lots of animals are waiting for “forever homes” at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland.
Among them is Linguini (A189986), a small, female tri-color dog who is 1.5 years old and full of puppy energy. She loves her squeaky toys and going on walks but will need someone to help her work on her manners. She’s treat-motivated, and a bright girl.
Also hoping for a good home is Chica (A160411), a 7-year-old black-and-white pitty mix who is missing her daddy, who passed away. Chica has a warm, friendly, happy personality and so sweet she is often picked to be shelter office dog for the day.
For information on adopting, contact [email protected]. All shelter animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
The shelter is closed to the public for non-emergencies but the staff is available to assist at 530-668-5287 during new temporary hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
