Have you been putting off your fitness goals?
Well, you are not alone!
Many of us, myself included, sometimes struggle with beginning a journey.
Whether fitness-related, business-related or whatever, we tend to put off things we are nervous to start.
But, you can not let yourself put your health on the back burner.
So, if you have been prolonging your fitness journey, I am here to help you begin.
In this column, we will address how to build healthy habits, how important consistency and commitment are, and how you can maintain this new lifestyle.

‘SMART’ Goals
Habits are essential to our health as humans.
Habits can even predict whether or not you will achieve and maintain your fitness goals.
To form positive habits, you must establish what your goal is.
For example, if you are trying to lose weight, you may want to start by setting a specific amount of weight you are trying to lose, and also give it a timeline.
Research has shown that specific goals have been more effective. These are often referred to as “SMART Goals.”
S = Specific. Goals should be defined and articulated with a clear end result in mind.
M = Measurable. Every goal should be quantifiable.
A = Attainable. Goals should be realistically achievable and split into manageable steps.
R = Relevant.
T = Time-Based.
