Crunch Fitness, a national gym chain, is coming to Arlington – The Dallas Morning News

National gym chain Crunch Fitness will expand to Arlington this year.

Crunch Arlington plans to open a 40,000-square foot facility with cardio and strength training equipment, an indoor turf area and cycling studios, the New York City-based company announced Monday.

Crunch is expected to open in December of this year at 5906 South Cooper, the site of a former Stein Mart, according to a company press release.

Additional amenities will include a HIITZone for high-intensity interval group training, massage chairs, tanning beds, infrared wellness pods and a kids’ area with a movie theater. The gym offers group yoga, Pilates, TRX (Total Resistance Exercises), Tai Box and Zumba classes.

“We offer something for everyone, whether you are a first-time gym user, a fitness enthusiast, or a serious athlete,” Crunch partner Michael Krassner said in the press release.

Crunch says it “believes in making serious exercise fun by fusing fitness and entertainment.”

Memberships start at $10 per month.

Crunch operates roughly 400 gyms worldwide, including one in Addison. A third North Texas center is planned for Frisco.
